Sonia Graziano, PsyD, is an HPRT Research Coordiantor in Italy. She is a Psychologist, specialized in Clinical Psychology. Her main interest is for childhood, adolescence and family. She completed her education at “La Sapienza University of Rome” and attended the Mastery in Global Mental Health: Trauma and Recovery Certificate Program organized by the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma (HPRT). In 2007, she attended the Department of Psychiatry in Traumatic Stress Service University of Western Ontario. In 2010, she coordinated the training of Primary Care General Practitioner in L’Aquila (Italy) after the Earthquake. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 she attended the HPRT organization at Harvard University in Boston. She works at the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome with patients with chronic disease. She is a researcher in Neuroscience on the topic of Empathy in mothers. During the past years, she has worked with the following organizations in Mental Health in Italy: Department of Psychology at Gemelli Hospital, Department Pediatric Psychology at Bambino Gesù Hospital, Caritas for a project about Asylum Seekers, Slave Traffic Victims Women and Minors, chair of Developmental Psychopathology at La University of Rome.
